 M&E Information Systems Overview

30324552.jpgAid organisations increasingly need effective monitoring and evaluation information systems (MEIS) to enhance institutional learning and satisfy donor accountability.

Aid-IT Solutions has researched widely and collaborated extensively with aid organisations, software architects and information system experts around the world to develop eM&ETM the world's first fully configurable MEIS.

eM&E™ Version 1 has evolved through 16 version updates and has now been implemented or trialled by 5 partner organisations across 12 projects  in 8 countries in Africa, Asia and Australia.  Trials ranged from as small as a AUD $100,000 project to a AUD $28 million project.

The feedback from clients in these trials and enablements has been analysed and is now being incorporated into eM&E™ Version 2.0 due for release in June 2008.

eM&E™ Version 2.0 not only includes a new more user friendly interface but a wider range of new and improved modules for project management, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Lyndon Voigt, the chief system architect describes this version release as the most exciting and significant suite of changes to eM&E since its release, incorporating almost all of the improvements and modifications recommended by users over the past two years of trials and enablements.

Among the more exciting developments will be the ability of small organisations to use eM&E for basic system set-ups without the need for training.

Larger organisations will now be able to pursue accreditation for in-house system administrators with consequent cost-savings on system roll-outs across a country or region.
